This Way Up - Final Mix

Well, my work is finally done. There's still some tweaks to be made on the video side, but I no longer have to tweak this baby any more. Time to push it out of the nest and let it go. It's been a real learning experience for me as a sound designer and as a young composer.

For this movie, I wrote and mixed the music. I created and mixed several sound design elements. Specifically, I did the title sequence; the planet and asteroid transformations; the sonic boom effect; the Hi/Lo Frequency automation during the transition scene from space to Dad looking for the remote; and the engine burst heard after the father and son are just admiring the view and coasting in space.

It is my hope that this movie stirs up pleasant memories of what it was like to imagine and play around as a kid. If you were lucky, perhaps a parent joined in with you!
